Borghese: The cleanest Mascara

Most of the mascara I've tried was so heavy with thickening dye that makes it clumpy and flaky. But as I mentioned on my previous post last 18th of July, I found the solution for flaky mascara.

Combo #1 : Classic Nude With the Falsies and the Stiletto

Not every woman loves to wear make up every day, because some colors might not look good at them. Some woman doesn't want to apply mascara for the flaky after effect of it.

At Lush My Skin has a Crush

LUSH @ Front Street Lahaina

I've been passed by at LUSH store many times when my friends and I stroll along Front Street Lahaina, I never got interested of the store before, because I knew already that the prices here in Front Street are tourist's price and not for "Kamaina" or for locals.

Sweet Treats by Honolulu Cookies

Sweet surprise is undeniably sweet!

My neighbor have a sweet surprise for me this afternoon :), she is so sweet anyway. She brings me a cookies with a little note, I've been so touch because they care and recognized my little achievement in this previous days.

Breakfast @ Plantation Bay

Are you planning to have breakfast, lunch or dinner with spectacle and awesome view?

It's another wonderful day here in the island of Maui. It's been so soul satisfying having breakfast with 212 degrees of vast nature view in  Plantation Bay, I had breakfast this morning with some folks here in Plantation House Kapalua. I've been here twice but never get tired with this lovely view while eating breakfast. It is not just my stomach is full and happy but also my eyes are awed with wonderful ambience; so fresh, very refine, laidback environment.

Visitors and locals like me  are widely accliamed the Plantation House Restaurant to be one of the finest restaurant on the island. It is located on the best golf area in Northwest Maui, Plantation Bay Kapalua, with 22,000 acres Golf course area.

Hallway going to the Restaurant
Hallway to the toilet and exit main door

They also have wide collections of wine, neatly panel on the wall that attrack my attention not just beacuse I love wine but the way it organized.

Wide Collections of Wine

Kula Spinach

Their food philosophy is all about Hawaii, to entice the senses not just locals but also visitors to experience the food style of the island.

Pardon me from my Kula Spinach photo, I haven't had the chance to photograph before I ate it, because I am starving :)
It's one of my favorite breakfast meal here, the spinach and the mushroom are just cooked right. The eggs is not too dry or too cook, it is just perfect. Everything is perfect and nothing to complain about even the service is really good.

I  leave the restaurant with smile and satisfaction. I have wonderful day today with good food and good company.
How about your day?

Sephora Craze

It is just an ordinary day here in the island, but the weather is always awesome. I am just get bored in the house, so I decided to go to Whaler's Village and visit Sephora. I love the store because they have variety of make ups and perfumes. My eyes are struck with this colorfull  galore of make up and perfume.

I love the store because it has lots of girly stuffs and the sales ladies are so attentive and very nice. They also give  some suggestions if someone ask for it in terms of make up and perfume. Due to many items of product to choose from, I can not concentrate where to look, I've gone from section to section.  Since I don't have loyal products yet, I ask one lady what is the best for my complexion for lipstick and lip liner. So she introduce me to Sephora collection section and picked some colors that suits my complexion, personality and day time activities.

I buy this Sephora collection Rouge Shine lipstick, Sephora lip liner, and their Outrageous Prisma Chrome metallic peach eyeshadow.

I feel am womanistic shopaholic today!

Pampering my Skin Under the Sun

I am here not to review some products (though I love for financial gain), but I am here to feed my passion, to share my personal experience to the products I loved.  Since, I can't resist to be under the sun for the ocean is so tempting here in Maui. To enjoy being under the sun without worrying about my skin to get tanned, as most Asian afraid to get tan, I have some products for protections and to stay my radiant skin aside from using the highest sunscreen protection factor (spf).

Kojie San has a kojic acid content, which helps lighten dark spot and is famous for excellent whitening effects. Kojie san is a mild whitening soap, after a week of using this soap my skin started to lgihten up in a natural way without feeling any rashes like any whitening soaps does. It smell sweet and taste lemony. My skin feels so supple and healthy.

Another whitening product for more radiant skin is the Snow White imported from Thailand. I used it mostly at night before going to bed. It is a cream type and pinkish color, which gives you a natural pinkish glow.

I am confidently under the sun most of  the time now for I have my skin companions. And I enjoy going to the beach most often without worrying about getting tan. In fact, I was on the beach last 4th of July twice; one at noon and before sunset time, that is how confident I am now because of Kojie San and Snow White.

It is not a sin to pamper and spoil yourself, so don't feel guilty.

My White Diamond

White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor

A woman without fragrance is a woman who hates perfume. A woman with sensuality finds perfect fragrance that suits to her moods. Woman known to be moody, so woman's fragrance can be of variety from sporty to dinner date.

White Diamond has a base note of woody smell, after an hour or so, it stays lighter and stays longer. I used this perfume, White Diamond, when my friend gave me as a Christmas gift last Decemer 2012. I put just one spray and scattered it to my wrist, neck, and elbow. As it stays longer the more I like the smell. It taste like cinnamon and I feel like exuberant Queen.

Due to my carelessness, it fell on the floor twice. The first time, it just bounce back and didn't break. The second time it fell and the container brakes into pieces. I am so sad because this is one of my favorite perfume. I tried to find it in Sephora at Waler's Village Ka'anapali but they don't have it. When I went to Wallmart yesterday, I just accidentally find this when I tried to find a swimsuit. So, I never hesitate to grabbed and bought it.

One spray is enough for whole day smell,  and it smells classic luxurious for diner's night out.

Maui: Baby Beach Summer Fun

Summer means fun! summer is for swimming time on the beach!
Actually, is it always summer in Maui and it comes with swimming all day long. Maui is surrounded with top of the world beaches. There are beaches that are for surfing, for snorkling, for diving, for kayaking, for parasailing, for skinny deep or "Nude" beach, and especially for the baby.

It is unusual to think that there is a baby beach, because we used to know that beaches come with waves and sometimes harsh current. But we can find that beach; one of the nicest beach here in Maui is the Baby Beach, simply located on Lahaina area. They called it Baby Beach because it is shallow and kid-friendly, means there's no big waves and the water current is so gentle that is ideal for all babies..not like other beaches we know.

I've been here in Maui for four years now and haven't yet in Baby Beach, since it is fourth of July we celebrate Independent's day with my friend here with her daughter.

And yes! I definitely agree, it is a shallow and calm beach. No wonder they called it Baby Beach.

Mud Pie Ice Cream Perfect for Summer

Summer is here, summer means fun and ice cream. Perfect, I have stack of 175 quarts (1.66L) Mud pie ice cream in the freezer that will last for a week :). This is one of my all time favorite ice cream on the island by Roselani. It flavored with choco cookies in Kona coffee ice cream swirled with mocha fudge sauce.

I enjoy the adventure of tase between coffee and mocha, between soft cold cream and tid bits of cookies. It's not boring.

Related facts:
Mud Pie ice cream by Roselani is manufactured by Maui Soda & Ice Works ltd. in Wailuku Hawaii for three generations since 1932 by Manuel Nobriga and family. They share some simple tips to store the ice cream in the refrigerator one-half hour before scooping.

But I can't wait that one-half hour before scooping to have my Mud Pie ice cream. I'll be impatiently take that scoops and put back the rest to store half an hour :).

Coach Collection or Addiction

I realized lately that I was addicted to coach purses. I have now 5 purses of coach, which three are used and two are unused. These are minimal to others, but these are already luxurious for me. I think I spoiled myself too much. I can't resist to buy it, because after I have it, I feel like a small child having a cotton candy on hands. A superficial happiness, or a way of giving gifts for myself. I don't know if this is a collection or an addiction.

The orange and black purse are a shiny leather, but the orange is softier than the black. The purple is leather matte, and the small black is fabric velvetry.

It's ok if it is an addiction as long as it serve its purpose :) .

Hawaii Luau: Don't Leave Without Watching

Hawaii is a celebration of good food, dances, and hospitality. In old times, when King and Queen visit the Island, the people of Hawaii welcome them with abundant of food, dances, leis and haku. (Lei is the one that puts in the neck while Haku puts in the head).

As time pass by, these culture struggling to survive. But to keep it alive, Hawaiian still performing the hula dance until now through Luau to commemorate their ancestor's legends, rich history, and culture.

Tourists should never leave the island without watching luau, because in this activity lies the true meaning of Hawaii spirit. Luau is one of the best performing arts in Maui, where they re-enact important events of those times; as history, each dance symbolizes the events on Hawaii.

In this photos show how people lived in Hawaii. Photo below, tourist is trying to make a lei. That is one of the Hawaiian tradition to welcome guest, to put lei to their guests. Many Filipino immigrants are working to make leis for guests in Hawaii. The flowers are so fragrant especially the tuberose, one of my favorite flower in Hawaii. (Not on the photo)

While waiting for my food, drinks, and dances I am mesmerized this eye catching and breathtaking sunset.

Before each dances, the host of the night explain what it symbolized and who were the visitors of King and Queen in those time.

The Hawaiian history, legends, and cutlture comes alive through Luau. The tourists who leave the island without watching Luau will miss one-fourth of their fare, half of the fun, and will miss their full vacation.

So, next time don't miss watching Luau.
